Leadership needs an overhaul

Pros

- Low-level to mid-level management is attentive, provides you with resources you need (market specific) - APP/EMT staff are competent - For EMTs, the pay was above industry, and the bonds formed between staff members were genuine good connections

Cons

- Since the new CEO came into the company, it has been nothing but chaos, and DispatchHealth seriously does not care about it's employees or patients anymore - The culture has changed to just generate money - The system to schedule appointments has moved entirely to online only, where our main demographic does not usually have the technological acumen to use the system, in this way they can cut the call-taking department - The company pushed internally for an AI "dispatching" system, in where it would frequently make irrational decisions which led to massive delays. They did this during the AI craze and from what it seemed like internally, they got caught in a "sunk-cost" fallacy where they couldn't remove the system as that would scare investors - Due to "budget constraints" crews were being cut from teams of an NP/PA & EMT to a virtual visit, with the EMT being responsible for tests being run, but had no backup on-scene, and very little assistance - Constant layoffs and job insecurity

Ruined a great thing…

Pros

The people I work/worked with were great. Imaging came with good, established culture. Great leadership in imaging.

Cons

Poor support from corporate leadership. High turnover and consistent layoffs outside of imaging, making collaboration difficult. Imaging never had what we needed for success, from fleet to equipment, etc. Our managers tried but never had what they needed to help us. Dispatch Health purchased imaging companies but ruined them both. At acquisition, we came with long time relationships with providers and facilities that took years to build and passion for superior patient care. We came as a team with culture and care for each other and the team as a whole. Dispatch Health has now sold imaging off, most have lost their jobs, giving employees 10 days notice and not paying out accrued vacation time that we have worked long and hard for. The CEO presents as very heartless and money driven. The former CEO presented himself well and we had a sense he actually cared about patients, staff, and what could have been an amazing business and service to patients.
