Pros
- Low-level to mid-level management is attentive, provides you with resources you need (market specific) - APP/EMT staff are competent - For EMTs, the pay was above industry, and the bonds formed between staff members were genuine good connections
Cons
- Since the new CEO came into the company, it has been nothing but chaos, and DispatchHealth seriously does not care about it's employees or patients anymore - The culture has changed to just generate money - The system to schedule appointments has moved entirely to online only, where our main demographic does not usually have the technological acumen to use the system, in this way they can cut the call-taking department - The company pushed internally for an AI "dispatching" system, in where it would frequently make irrational decisions which led to massive delays. They did this during the AI craze and from what it seemed like internally, they got caught in a "sunk-cost" fallacy where they couldn't remove the system as that would scare investors - Due to "budget constraints" crews were being cut from teams of an NP/PA & EMT to a virtual visit, with the EMT being responsible for tests being run, but had no backup on-scene, and very little assistance - Constant layoffs and job insecurity
