Pros

I had such an awesome experience with Doddle. When faced with the challenges of building a new product in a new market for the company, everyone was willing support and put their genuine effort into optimizing toward a common goal. Executive leadership is willing to try new things, iterate, and reevaluate. Doddle is innovative and bringing new ideas to market at affordable prices. I enjoyed every minute of the challenge.

Cons

Doddle is not for the externally motivated. If you need someone to tell you what to do with the hours in your day, you'll find yourself not excelling. Doddle is in extreme growth mode. You'll need to be nimble, creative and willing to make mistakes. It is not a rinse and repeat type job.

Pros

Everyone is extremely friendly and truly wants nothing but the best for the company. Plenty of PTO, and good support all around.

Cons

Company simply can't get the needle moving in the US market. Even upper management has begun to quit and find other gigs.

Pros

Great thought leadership from the London office. Generally a great company to work for and has decent brand recognition globally working with clients like Australia Post, Yamato, and various carriers worldwide. Remote working is great. Also unlimited PTO.

Cons

The US entity is horribly mismanaged. The returns management portal is outdated and lagging behind in features compared to other providers in the space. There is no communication and everyone on the team is working in silos, feeling isolated. The team I was originally working on was restructured and everyone was given new strategy/goals that extend far beyond the individual contributor role I had accepted. We were told to stop reporting to our manager and started reporting directly to the CEO - Dan Nevin. He encourages a not so great sales culture based on “assumptive selling”. This is not a used car lot where you can assume people are automatically buying. You are selling Saas in a heavily commoditized space. At times you will feel like a snake oil salesman. You will spend time trying to find non traditional use cases for a product that most people just don’t need. The joint venture that was launched with Inmar is a step in the right direction but limiting individual sellers to sell only the returns management portal is a big mistake. There are no products being sold here only broken hopes and dreams. The Doddle Us /Inmar post purchase solutions joint venture is poorly positioned and has not been fully integrated into inmar intelligence. These are not just startup growing pains. The teams reputations are being damaged when working with cross functional teams within Inmar and there have even been Inmar sellers who flat out refuse to work with the JV. The JV should have been absorbed into Inmars pre existing infrastructure or better integrated. The sellers are simply not setup for success.
