I worked at Dots part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The store managers are well trained and helpful they also train the associates properly. The experience created for the customer was personalized to fit her needs.

    Cons

Never enough coverage, never had a proper break, customers took advantage of return policy and returned worn and damaged items regularly. The pay was so low, couldn't earn enough to cover expenses.

    Advice to Management

The district managers should be more hands on or get a reduced salary.they don't do much of anything.

    Pros

Training you receive as a tsm is thorough and health benefits were excellent. The techniques they teach you about loss prevention are beneficial.

    Cons

The company doesn't utilize thier payroll correctly. They need to schedule enough coverage so that employees can take actual put of store breaks.

    Advice to Management

More incentives and in store contests would drive better sales productivity amongst sales associates.

I worked at Dots full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Dots offered a Great discount for all levels of staff. For most of the year you had a great work and life balance. Hours of operations were nice, Never had to open on Thanksgiving or Easter

    Cons

They could have offered more of a wage for entry level. It was hard to staff for min. wage and 8 hours a week. New CEO ran company into the ground, should have not offered credit card options or given us new registers when the old ones worked fine, Wasted money on all ends.

    Advice to Management

Don't grow to fast you end up closing a company that had great price points and offered many sizes.
