I worked at Duke Manufacturing full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Hours are decent for a fulltime job

    Cons

Employees are extremely overworked and underpaid. Company is struggling financially and unable to provide employees with 401K match or pay increases. Employees are not able to work independently as they are constantly looked over their shoulders or needing approval to perform their own job.

I worked at Duke Manufacturing full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay is decent for the current local pay scale. Good benefits.

    Cons

Even though you have benefits when could a real person use them due to strict points policy.

    Advice to Management

Promote more females. Ans if you save a job for someone who was a man and had to go to jail for thirty days than why couldnt my job when I had a court commitment just the same?Be fair.

I worked at Duke Manufacturing (More than a year)

    Pros

The employees were a lot of fun to work with as long as you weren't acting dumb and you did your job correctly

    Cons

There isn't much room to grow, engineering basically only has two levels at the Sedalia plant. You feel stuck in your position.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate the hard workers, make sure they know you appreciate them

I have been working at Duke Manufacturing full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

great benefits, hours good, ot opportunity.

    Cons

upper management and production management not communicating, late shipments due to overload of production. Customers being put off , employees multi-tasking at a faster pace leads to poor product being produced. Sense of TEAM being lost....

    Advice to Management

communication to those who know how to get the job done so our customers don't have to wait. If management doesn't know how to build the product, how can they schedule a job or jobs to meet due dates! Communicate with those who build the product...

    Cons

Communication, it shouldn't be that hard but sometimes it is the biggest struggle. It can become very frustrating. I suppose you should take the good with the bad
