Pros
Relaxed environment. Some room for growth. If you're not good at your job, you can coast by for a good long while.
Cons
No real management strategy. Continue to promote the wrong people to leadership positions. Deadlines missed and no accountability. Grossly under staffed.

Pros
What attracted me to Dynapower originally was its size and market position. Having worked at a global giant (>100,000 employees) and at a young venture-backed start up, I was ready for something that avoided those extremes and happily found that at Dynapower. It’s refreshing that despite a formal org chart, everyone has direct access to the president and CEO, as contrasted with the conglomerate, there were 4-5 layers between me at the CEO depending on the path up the matrix. Odd to read criticism of management being micromanagers. The flip side of that coin is called engaged. The fact that the management does and can roll up their sleeves and get involved in nitty-gritty when needed is refreshing. Part of that translates to decisions being made quickly because management is both accessible and up to speed on most issues. This is contrasted to a situation I’ve been in where the CEO was so busy chasing and courting investors that he had very little working knowledge of the day-to-day of the company. Importantly there’s enough trust shared with employees, which means most decisions in fact don’t require sign off by top management. There’s a reason (or many) Dynapower has been around for 50+ years. Part of that is the engineering talent, IP and market position, and part of it is the fluid and open structure I’ve experienced that allows individuals and the company to change direction and be responsive.
Cons
The organization is intentionally lean, which at times means folks are swamped. This can create bottlenecks when key folks are tied up on other projects.

Pros
Worked independently, decent pay and benefits.
Cons
Be ready to go anywhere at anytime

Pros
Dynapower attracts people that have very strong work ethic and generally figure stuff out without a lot of direction (see below cons). It makes for a new challenge every day without someone telling you how to do it. We make different things every day also. The upper management, which is only two people... isn't that bad. I've worked a few places, unlike many of the people here at Dynapower, and found the CEO and Prez approachable and genuine compared to other places.
Cons
We don't get a lot of direction or processes to follow, which makes things both interesting and stressful at times. We are always in a rush to get stuff done... pay is more than I was making elsewhere, but still isn't great. No cafeteria and expensive vending machines. They should subsidize these, put good food in them and not try to make money off the employees in their second home.

Pros
Great place to learn and grow professionally; medium-sized company doing business with major global companies such as GE, Tesla, Freeport McMoran and many others. Lots of opportunities for growth and development that enable employees to stay sharp. If an employee is ready to learn and not afraid to take challenges, this is the place to work. There’s a terrific management team with deep expertise and technical acumen. In the last few years, the company brought on some very smart people with industry knowledge and experience; therefore, there are new ideas that are good for the direction of the company. Management is very open to new ideas and there are no closed doors. My manager is accessible and works hard to attract the right people to contribute to the company’s progress
Cons
Company’s businesses are tied to the commodities market, which is driven by the stock market and any hiccup in the manufacturing industry has some impact on the company.

Pros
Dynapower has several individuals whose innovative thought and ability to grasp new markets is what has kept the company from closing the doors on several occasions.
Cons
The stress level is insanely high. The company has layoffs and hiring waves each year. Most of management is overly conservative and slow to react. The hours are long and pay is below average. There are also very few women in the business and only one in any type of supervisory position in the entire company. They are also owned by private equity and under the threat of sale at any time. The turnover in the business is staggering.

Pros
Honestly there is no positives whatsoever that I can think of.
Cons
This is a company that is on its way out of business. The founder and owner has sold all his stock and has no further financial interest. He now runs the business like a playtoy or a hobby. He thinks more about his next motor scooter ride, what next model Porsche to buy or what color to pick for his next motorcycle. The president on the other hand, has every single piece of the business so micromanaged that you have to send him an email and wait for approval before you can go to the men's room. I have updated my resume and have several interviews scheduled. I will be gone shortly. I hope this posting makes you to think very carefully about Dynapower.

Pros
Dynapower offers a dynamic environment with a very intelligent team. Hours are relatively flexible and (when time permits) there is much encouragement for R&D.
Cons
The company can become very disorganized very quickly. There are a lot of different products being designed simultaneously and deadlines are often missed. Work can become very individualized.
