      Pros

      The students are hardworking, brilliant, and the heart of the community. They deserve better.

      Cons

      Leadership at DSLV is severely lacking in professional integrity. Despite being part of E-act, the British Values of fairness and truth are ignored when they become inconvenient. In my experience, they acted against clear evidence to protect their own narrative. It is disappointing to see a leadership team so well-supported by the local authorities while they actively undermine the professional principles they are supposed to uphold. Trust is a one-way road here. If you value transparency and fair treatment, this is not the environment for you.

      Good ethos, good understanding of areas of improvement

      Pros

      Very welcoming and supportive atmosphere as a new colleague, clear understanding of areas of improvement, strong attitudes to CPD and training, Trust values are clear and well represented, salaries are generous, company culture is very human, very supportive of flexible working, strong ambition of excellence.

      Cons

      Organisation is large and involves dispersed teams so there is a tendency to work in silo - although they are aware of it, wellbeing offer for staff is there but is basic, staff benefits also limited - but again, they are aware of it, workloads are an issue

      Poor management, ´too many cooks´, constant scrutiny, felt more like a business company than a school
