I have been working at E Ink full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great people, great company to work for. I have been treated very well, with plenty opportunity to grow in areas that I find interesting, and I never feel that my work is unappreciated in the slightest.

    Cons

I absolutely do not regret anything.

    Advice to Management

    Keep on keeping on.

I have been working at E Ink full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours. Higher ups are invested in company growth. Generous PTO. Great benefits. Not afraid to spend money. Relaxed atmosphere

    Cons

There is not a lot of room for personal growth. There is a problem with keeping young professionals.

    Pros

Work-life balance, innovative opportunities, ability to be highly engaged and make a meaningful impact at all levels.

    Cons

Management in Taiwan has a high-touch impact on what happens day-to-day with an increasing amount of focus on the short term over long term.

I have been working at E Ink full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They have a lot of nice people working there. It would be a great technology.

    Cons

Still running like a start up. Managers micro manage. Make small minor mistake and the world comes to an end.

    Advice to Management

Trust your people. You have good people working there let them do their jobs.

I have been working at E Ink full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

My immediate supervisors and co-workers are fantastic. Always new and interesting things to work on, while 50% of the job is the same year-to-year, the other half is like getting a new job every year.

    Cons

On the low side of pay, is loosing the nice close-knit community feel of a startup for a more formal corporate one. Plus side are nicer standard benefits like 401(k), but downside is loosing company culture benefits like free lunch and social activity.

    Advice to Management

At least in the R&D operation, they need to build lateral idea sharing and informal creative opportunities - operational silos increase efficiency but reduce chances of major breakthroughs. They also need better scientific data management.
