I have been working at ECS Refining full-time

    Pros

Rapidly growing company with a great mission and ethics. People are real, and a fun team to work with. Never a dull moment. Management is given lots of responsibility and there are a lot of development opportunities.

    Cons

Lots of process improvement opportunities, as this company changes from a family-owned company to a VC owned, with a professional organization and structure.

    Advice to Management

Keep on working on improving communication and processes! Have fun.

I worked at ECS Refining full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Working for ECS Refining prior to the company being sold to a venture capital firm was excellent. I had a fantastic relationship with ownership. They trusted me with a 6 million dollar division, and I came through with constant profitability.

    Cons

Once the company was sold, changes were made, and I was not part of said changes. I believe this decision was based on bad information provided to the ownership group. Unfortunate split.

    Advice to Management

ECS Refining was an excellent place to work when it had a "small family business" feel. After it was acquired by the VC, the culture that once made it great quickly dissipated.

    Pros

I meet some good people, and I learned a lot from the company.

    Cons

working at ECS you have no chances to move up in the company if your good at one job most likely that's were your going to be. NOT ENOUGH MONEY for the job they have you doing. Benefits are not that GREAT. The general manger and the operation manger are horrible half off the people there are been treated bad and scared to speak up. They have lost a lot of good people because of the management and the pay.!!!!

    Advice to Management

Look into your Mesquite location and try to reach to the employee because there is a lot people that willing to work for the company but is been mistreated
