I worked at EPS Software Corp. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent Bids and Proposals VP. Provided guidance while also giving you freedom to bring creativity to the Production Team.

    Cons

Some business units did not understand the proposal development process. Thus, causing issues throughout the life cycle of the proposal.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. President, CEO and COO are extremely knowledgeable and engaged in day-to-day business functions.

I have been working at EPS Software Corp. as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great Experience ! If you are looking to ship applications that change real people's lives, this is it ! Lots of creative freedom, great communication with the customer and company's leadership. Ample opportunities for training and improving skills. DevNet is a fantastic network to be a part of, also weekly training virtual meetings are great.

    Cons

If you are looking to be micro managed , this will not be a good fit in my opinion. Or contracting/ consulting in general. Self starting should be something you enjoy doing.

    Advice to Management

Great company model ! I don't think there is anything I would change, I think the training opportunities is what separates EPS/CODE from other companies so promoting contractor involvement in these programs should continue.

I have been working at EPS Software Corp. full-time

    Pros

Core Hours and ability to work from home. Relaxed athmosphere.

    Cons

The owners of the company (married couple) spend 85% of their time "working in remote locations" such as Hawaii, Europe, and others. They are rarely in the office and because of this do not provide real leadership. These two owners do not provide a rewarding environment to learn and grow with the organization; instead, they make all kinds of money and spend it on themselves.

As an employee, you can expect horrible bonuses (I'm talking like $250-$500 per year), and never any salary increases.

Benefits are "ok", but on par with most companies.

The real kicker here is the growth opportunity: and by that, I mean that there is NO growth opportunity in this company. What you come in as is what you will leave as.

Read the other reviews for this company, and AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

    Advice to Management

You need to seriously get your act together. The reason this company has lasted as long as it has is NOT because of the expect services we provide, it is because of LUCK the company hasn't gone under and that WE (the workers) actually care about what work-product that we put out the door.

I have been working at EPS Software Corp. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Core hours allow for flexibility of schedule
    Relaxed worked environment
    Truly considerate management

My role in the company allows for constant growth. The great part is that there's constant encouragement from management to do more and grow with the company. My role and my work for the company feels appreciated and valued.

    Cons

As with any company, sometimes things get so busy you don't really know what's a priority. But most of the time, that's easily cleared up with some communication.

I have been working at EPS Software Corp. full-time

    Pros

    Latest technology and flex hours

    Cons

Terrible location for an office, ZERO management, the owners spend all of their time "working offsite" in places such as Hawaii, Europe, and others. I've never once been given a performance review and no raise and a laughable bonus of a few hundred dollars. All the while the owners spend tons of money on their own toys and NEVER reward their employees.

Clients are scarce. We go from client to client and it's not uncommon to loose them mid contract because of lack of management on our side.

    Advice to Management

Work in the office with the rest of your employees. Stop being so arrogant and guide us don't order us around.

    Flexible managment
Can work from home if needed

    Cons

    Micromanagement
    Business segments not defined
Not a rewarding environment for developers
    No training whatsoever
No ability for growth in the company

    Advice to Management

Follow the exact same rules you expect your staff to follow
Invest time in the office, not world travels. There's time enough to do that if you want to retire.
    Stop micromanaging
