    I worked at ESCADA full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Working on the corporate IT team, I had a cool manager, who showed me the ropes, and was willing to teach me & let me do various projects. I got to travel to a few stores to setup the back office equipment, registers, firewall tunnels, and audio equipment.

    Cons

    A lot of the store had old POS systems, and were always breaking down, or losing connection. Had to always get that back up and running instead of just replacing the equipment with new stuff, but that was due to monetary issues, and the bankruptcy filing at the time prior to the purchase. Aside from the technology, the brand is like a dinosaur. Bankruptcy & monetary issues led to several corporate members leaving for something new, or being laid off.

    Advice to Management

    Escada's designs are what is killing it now. The designers are still living on the glory days when the rest of the world has moved on. Bring some liveliness to the brand, and you'll attract younger buys with money.

    Pros

    Salary was decent ,wardrobe was decent . The culture was in the store was set in their way.

    Cons

    all the superiors were incompetent, uneducated ,unfamiliar about the markets and unwilling to listen to the front line...the store level employees

    Advice to Management

    learn to listen, too much structure is not conducive to good business

    Pros

    Creativity was everywhere. People were hard working- but knew how to have a good time as well. we were challenged, but also rewarded for our work and skills.

    Cons

    unrealistic sales targets. otherwise, it was a great company to work for. would recommend it to anyone. the clothing is quality- and always great to market quality.

    less mico-management

    Pros

    ESCADA is a great place to work because even as an intern the team respects you and expects you to hold the same responsibilities that an employee would. They treat you like you are an employee and are very good at communicating what is going on with the company.

    Cons

    Not enough job openings, unfortunately.

    Advice to Management

    Hire more people who are not somehow connected to the inner circle of people working there already.

    It's been good experience.

    The decision makers of the company doesn't want to hear your ideas or suggestions to help make business better, they just want you to smile and nod to whatever they say.

    Advice to Management

    Do what works in your market, LISTEN to your people telling you wants going on, and then try and make it better.
