    Pros

Amazing service to customers. Incredible technology. Locally focused but internationally renowned. Safety is a major priority. Not overly matrixed.

    Cons

There are sad stories from the past. There is a divide between old school culture and the high performance culture of the future that is gaining traction.

    Advice to Management

Continue to value and respect all employees, we're all in this together.

Ethics police keep managers from doing their jobs - managers need to think 3 times before they correct or say anything negative to employees

I worked at Edison International full-time

    Pros

Edison International cares about its most important assets - its people. With safety first, the messaging is real and training is by far the best I have ever experienced. I can not say enough about my wonderful work experience and the rewards that came as a result of my hard work. Recognition of individual contributions as well as those supporting the team are part of the culture at Edison. You will not find a better company for diversity, equality and acceptance for all.

    Cons

There are no cons as an Edison Employee - it was the best experience.

    Advice to Management

There is an awful sense of entitlement by some individuals who just live and exude misery. Time for management to restore paradise and not let the undesirables ruin it for employees who truly appreciate all the Edison stands for in support of their staff.

I worked at Edison International full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

High level of job security. It's almost impossible to lose your job as long as you deliver half decent work product.

    Cons

You have to deal with lots of incompetent people who are totally unmotivated because they know their job security is so high due to the monopolistic nature of regulated utilities.

    Advice to Management

High grade your talent and build goodwill with the ratepayers by relentlessly driving down the cost of electricity.

I worked at Edison International (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent place to work, other dept. are really good, excellent benefits, growth is good.

    Cons

60% perm. employees are lazy, they hire contractors and abuse them, use them like a dust,
Management, HR, Ethic dept. all share info. and later on, let Contractor go who does the Best Job for the Company, But Corrupted, lazy, perm. employee don't like that; CEO need to layoff all Managers at the Corp. Security dept. make them liable or let them go. Outsource everything....then, they will realized.

    Advice to Management

    Pl. read above notes.
