Pros

Good opportunity to grow and make uncapped income (if you’re white or can pass as a white person or are willing to be a black person who acts white in order to assimilate into a culture that DOES NOT accept you for who are, merely for financial / material gain).

Cons

RACIST with a dash of misogyny. They’ll never directly say it to your face of course but someone who works directly with the CEO Scott Price told me that he was poking fun at a pregnant women who had returned from maternity leave, saying something to the effect of “she’s been gone so long I’m not sure if she’ll still be able to do her job!” He was no stranger to belittling his employees when they weren’t around or saying he really doesn’t care about the operations side of HIS company because they weren’t directly making him money. He has a superficial charm when you first meet him, and appears to be likable but after being at the company a while you begin to notice the cracks. I worked in the sales department and was treated like a second class citizen. I felt like I was being closely watched every single day by the evil eye of Scott Price. I got a noticeably smaller amount of leads compared to my white male counterparts (I was the only minority female in the department) and PROMPTLY AFTER my first sale, I was let go because “I wasn’t meeting expectations” and since I didn’t agree to the termination and wouldn’t sign their forms, they wouldn’t give me my last paycheck.

Thank you for your post. It seems clear that you do not know the backgrounds, experience, and knowledge of the company’s leadership and employees. What you are saying is not consistent with our leadership principles, our core values as a business, nor the way we work with and treat our core resource, our employees. We believe strongly in our values; we seek to rigorously follow them; and we measure our leadership and our employees against those standards. It is unfortunate that while you were employed here that you did not allow us to help address the concerns and issues you now raise. It is disappointing to read this post because we continuously encourage open dialogue with our employees and respect their feedback. Furthermore, we have an open door policy which allows any employee to make their voice heard at any time. Our human resources team would have been eager to confidentially listen to your concerns and help you come to a resolution. A-LIGN recognizes that employees will have suggestions for improving the workplace, as well as concerns about the workplace. The most satisfactory solution to a job-related problem or concern is usually reached through a prompt discussion with a manager. A-LIGN believes that open communication is essential to a successful work environment and all employees should feel free to discuss their concerns. We strongly disagree with your assessment of the firm. We have had exponential growth in sales and operations, and our programs for team members and customers have proven highly successful. We operate an unbiased recruiting process allowing us to build a skilled and diverse workforce from throughout the country. Success at A-LIGN is not dependent on race, gender, nor ethnicity. In fact, we have strict policies on ensuring equality in our workforce. The statement about your paycheck is alarming. A-LIGN strictly follows both its regulatory and contractual obligations in all matters affecting an individual’s pay. If you feel that you did not receive the correct earnings, please confidentially reach out to our human resources team (HR@a-lign.com) and we will investigate the matter. We wish you the best of luck in the future.
