Pros
The entrepreneurial spirit still lives. If you see an opportunity, you are encouraged to exploit it and make your job into something new. Many organizations are remarkable collections of talent who work well together. When times are good, they are very good.
Cons
Bonuses and value of stock incentives are frequently nil. Benefits have dropped dramatically in the last couple years. Too many managers, too many meetings--nights and weekends are when you must do real work if you're planning to do some. Senior management spews ideals but shows little attention to changing practice.
