Pros

Great benefits, good pay for an IT support position, strong employment contract (indefinite), dealing only with internal issues, limited scope of support - easy to learn basics and tasks are generally repetetive - may get a tad boring but work environment is not really challenging.

Cons

Processes change frequently and rights of l1/l2 support are being restricted by security more and more as time goes by, extremely understaffed during major outages, low chances of being promoted within GT internally outside of India in 2026, lack of on-prem L3 support, plenty of software and products are owned by external support vendors which tend to have terrible work culture and 0 knowledge of their scope and processes. WFO 3 days a week - not good for folks who live outside of the city.

Pros

401k match and work life balance.

Cons

Mandatory 3 day in the office, abysmal raises (2-3%), and overall crappy culture. They're trying to improve the culture with “culture champions”, but it is just lip service because the company refuses to provide any meaningful budget for food or branded gifts for their employees. Office is very quiet and not in a good way. There is NO upward mobility unless you’re already in upper management.
