- VP of Marketing in North America is an incredible people leader and marketing professional, so much to learn from - Good people and coworkers - Some offices have better culture and less toxic than others - Very conservative in their hiring and people growth so don’t practice lay-offs like other tech companies - If you have a good manager with good relationships at the top, you can still get the support needed - Maybe better suited if you’re earlier in your career - Experienced major growth in my career but it was more of an exceptional experience than a standard one
Cons
- Not competitive in terms of salary, benefits, or other for being in the tech industry and in Silicon Valley - Heavily top-down culture - Not the most structured so doesn’t always follow best industry practices for marketing - Company prioritizes product teams and sales teams, marketing’s value isn’t very recognized although that’s not necessarily unique to this company - Not very diverse if that’s what you’re looking for
