Management was inept, especially in their knowledge of Direct Selling Industry. Boys club management mentality. Management came from the tech industry, very black and white with demeaning and pompous attitude towards employees. It's their loss for not recognizing the talent among the staff. No room for growth and management was inflexible in terms of accepting ideas for change. Processes were very strict in terms of being able to go above and beyond for the Consultant Experience. Work / Life balance did not exist. Personal Time Off & Sick Days were lumped together instead of being separate, which encouraged people to come to work sick because they didn't have the time accrued to take off or didn't want to take time off because it would take away vacation time. A new employee was particularly affected because they started with 0 time. So, if a child was sick or death in family happened for instance, they would get an "occurrence" and so many occurrences equated to verbal warnings, written warnings and the paper trail continued. The monthly review point systems included points for perfect attendance, which also encouraged people to come to work sick because they would not receive the "points" if they took time off. Very unhealthy environment and so many unhappy employees. In a nutshell, instead of building up their employees for success, they managed by fear and partial treatment for few. Employees spent their time running to their desks so they wouldn't be 1 minute late or coming to work sick and making others sick. AND their Special Event was pathetic.
