Pros

Baker's executive team is harder working than most executive teams I have worked for. They are typically at work before the regular staff arrive, as well as still being there when many leave for the day. There is a "follow my lead" management structure in many of the departments. It is a great place to work for anyone that wants a family atmosphere with flexibility and work/life balance. I was valued and mentored during my nearly 10 years at Baker. If I had a question it was answered quickly and thoroughly by my managers. The company operates on a lean staffing structure resulting in very few layoffs over the years, even when the industry took a hit in the economic downturn.

Cons

Due to the lean staff, there are not typically advancement opportunities within the same department. It is a great place to learn but turn over may be inevitable for those entry level employees looking for advancement quickly.
