Pros
Opportunity for personal development and exposure to amazing products, producers, highly knowledgeable colleagues - no better place to learn the industry IMO. Full of warm and selfless people from top to bottom, almost no one that I could say a bad word against. Progressive family-run company that operate with the utmost integrity, have a genuine care for sustainability.
Cons
Work life balance, often working evenings with no TOIL or overtime structure for this. No commission, bonuses partially based on business performance, which is limiting even if you perform well personally. Base salary in my position did not fairly reflect the volume of work and revenue brought in when bonuses were slim - I know colleagues in other departments felt the same.
