The recent appointment of the new HR Director has significantly impacted the work environment in a negative way. Coming from a non-technical background (specifically the airport industry), he has shown little understanding or interest in core HR functions like recruitment or operations. Instead of collaborating with the experienced HR team, he has taken to informally questioning other employees over tea and coffee about internal HR matters — creating an atmosphere of distrust and discomfort.
This behavior has been further enabled by the CTO, who appears to support these divisive tactics, sidelining the Site Director who has worked hard to build and establish the Pune office from the ground up. The HR Director has introduced changes without any real grasp of their impact or relevance, and has not involved the existing leadership constructively in any of the processes.
The result? Employee morale has plummeted. There's a noticeable drop in office attendance, and a growing number of employees are actively avoiding interaction with him. It’s disheartening to see the office culture being eroded so quickly due to misguided leadership.
