Pros

I really wish I could think of at least one thing but I cannot.

Cons

Get ready for chaos from the top on down. Every member of the management team has a different way of doing things so if you do things the way you are taught by one member of management then you will be called out in front of as many people as possibe for not asking another memeber of management if they are in agreement and there is no meeting of the minds. The inmates/clients run this facility and grieve staff for doing their jobs which isn't as disturbing as the management cosigning their ridiculous behaviors. New employees are treated like outcasts by the entire staff. Older staff members are volatile and excused based on their ethnicity but new staff are expected to handle their aggression with ease. The Auburndale Bridge has been operating well below the expected client ratios for quite some time because they cannot seem to treat inmates well enough to keep them in the program until graduation. Additionally, their referral sources have stopped referring clients to the program. It's absolutely laughable that they blame new staff for their outrageous and ongoing issues instead of taking responsibilitiy.

Pros

Trae Vacek is an exceptional leader who clearly casts vision and cares for the people who serve with Bridges. In Bridges, you learn a lot of new skills that can be useful in a lot of careers. Definitely recommend college graduates to take at least a year to serve with Bridges and see what God does!

Cons

You don't get paid a ton in salary, but you get lots of benefits that come out of the money that you raised. So in a week if I meet with students over meals, the money I pay for food during the meeting doesn't come out of my salary.

Pros

The safety as an employee working with exoffenders was phenomenal.

Cons

The organization of the inmates work release funds is deceptive, unorganized and criminal in nature.
