Pros
Brixmor has lots of money to spend, and is not afraid to do it for the right deals and tenants. Massive real estate portfolio provides exposure and intelligence across most of the major US markets. Brixmor work experience looks great on your resume. Very strong pay, 37.5 hour work week, and benefits are best in class. Summer Fridays ending at 1pm is great. Colleagues at lower levels tend to be friendly and helpful, but some are problematic due management pitting the departments against each other.
Cons
The company is dominated by egocentric and relationship based individuals that naturally create a politically charged environment. Managment lacks leadership and team building skills, and it's a "do as I say, not as I do" type of attitude. Upper management wants control over every inch of the premier deals, and second guesses the employees work on a regular basis. They also assign tasks that consume loads of time that are not critical to completing the core objectives. The whole company lacks executable organization tools. NO REAL ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENT EXISTS. Leasing support tasks and responsibilties of other departments regularly get pushed onto leasing, since the company attitude is that leasing's paycheck depends on completion of these support tasks. Multiple systems all requiring manual entry insures that a lot of errors occur in the system. There is no one single, reliable source for information. It's an "Every man for himself" type of culture, hidden behind a smiling face...
