Pros

The stock is doing well and they have a good bonus program for the divisions that perform well.

Cons

It isn't a great place for an engineer looking to do great work. The pressure to keep up with the CEO's demands for each quarter means that management is focused on cutting costs and propping up the operating margin to the detriment of any kind of long term technology development and planning. I was originally with LSI, survived the Avago acquisition and the Broadcom merger. The churn is also something that takes a toll on engineers' morale as you never know if either you or the things you are working on have a long term future in the company. If you are a senior employee looking to cash in on the ESPPs, RSUs and bonuses, you have good reason to stay here. A younger person looking to learn and grow in their career should not stay here too long. Get some relevant experience and leave for a more dynamic environment when you can.

Pros

Broadcom offers great compensation and benefits

Cons

Wasn't a con for me but was for some, but remote work is highly discouraged and rare, most people must go into the office every day. Also, it is a rank and yank system.
