Do you enjoy being focused only on next quarters profits? Do you enjoy working in an environment where managers can't conceive of work being done without being at a desk in their office? Do you enjoy lack of communication or misinformation about critical items that impact you personally and professionally? Then Broadcom is the right place for you. Broadcom may know how to manufacture chips, but they do not understand how to run a software and services business. The scorched earth approach that was taken and thereby destroying what VMware used to be for the only purpose of squeezing money out of existing clients is not a viable long-term strategy. Consider very carefully how working at Broadcom will impact your life. There are far too many good technology companies that need you. You have more options that you realize.
