Pros

-Moderate workload (depending on the job) -Management is currently exploring opportunities to modernize procedures. This is good for those who would like to experience in process improvements - Management has good intentions and they follow employee-friendly practices. The company is very French when it comes to employment policies.

Cons

- Career prospects are minimal. The company hires mostly contract staff. Conversion to permanent employment is decided in Paris. - Middle management is a bit aloof. As an Asian employee in Singapore, i find it awkward at times. Working relationships are quite artificial with middle management. -Many decisions incorporate political considerations at the middle and higher management. - French speakers and French nationals have better prospects. - Department meetings are extremely boring. - It can be too traditional in some processes (e.g., signatures are still required in some mundane processes)

Pros

- Good work life balance. - Good atmosphere in my team.

Cons

- Salary is 30-40% under market, despite "above expectations" at performance reviews and consistent positive feedbacks. Run away if you're on a visa, they'll take advantage of you. - I agree with other comments, HR team is toxic, power play. - Slow. - Don't expect to be able to change things. - No IT culture, lots of manual tasks with low value added due to very poor IS. You'll spend half your time exporting data from legacy systems, manipulate the data and do low value added reporting. As an example, you need to go through a poorly designed UI to export a greek, and wait ~15/30min to proceed with another export. And you only have access to a quarter, so for a period of one year, it's 4 exports. Imagine having to export 3 different greeks over a year, that's 12 exports. - IT team couldn't whitelist yahoo finance endpoints after two years of back and forth with several IT teams.
