      Pros

      CHOC as a fantastic place to work and the patients are phenominal to work with. Staff is beyond awesome, but staff is being pushed out by terrible and costly benefits

      Cons

      The health benefits are terrible. The employees cost for the health benefits has increased (20-30%) each year, and the benefits are getting lower (higher copays and deductibles). This year, the employee contibution rose over 30% and the companies contribution went down! Plus, what slef respecting healhcare organization makes there employees pay a $1500 (that's right - Fifteen Hundred) deductible for a hospital admission (on an HMO)? I'm pretty sure the Executive Team does not have this plan. I'm pretty sure that they are provided free medical, that pays everything with no deductible or out of pocket.

      Pros

      Flexible schedule, for the most part great providers who are happy to teach you about the field. Great experience for pre-health students. I’ve learned a lot in this position and made great connections

      Cons

      Some shift times may be undesirable. Very few sick days and unforgiving policy for calling out sick
