Pros
Very easy going and insightful mentorship from field engineers. Relaxing atmosphere in field office. Very good blend of field visits and office work. Good flexibility for interns.
Cons
There is not as much structure in the student assistant program as I would have thought. I felt like I was unsure of my role in the project, granted I was only an intern with two years of civil engineering education from a four year university. Seem to be bouncing around from small assignment to assignment.
