Pros
- The break room is usually stocked with drinks, snacks, a great coffee machine, and the occasional bucket of ice cream. - Engineering, Implementation, and Customer Support have some of the hardest working individuals you'll meet. - There are outings maybe a couple times a year. - The products have great potential. - If you work the system right, you can get bonuses for unremarkable achievements. Think of it as a retainer for your knowledge- the benefit of so few people doing so many jobs. - The customers are wonderful to work with
Cons
- Not a family-friendly employer. - Salaried employees get hours deducted like hourly employees. - Immature level of micromanagement, resulting in poor planning and decision-making. - Always hiring, but headcount stays the same (I've personally witnessed multiple systemic reboots). - Impulsive/reactive leadership. - Political oppression derived from favoritism or egotism in leadership. - As a result of all of the above, workload exponentially increases until burnout. - After 3 years of working 12-16 hrs/day, doing 3 jobs to pick up slack because of the turnover, and being reprimanded for not being able to perform all of them at a level equivalent to 3 distinct employees, I left the company. What saddens me is the effect this Cedaron "norm" has on those precious customers.
