Pros

Clients. Some co-workers. Benefits (retirement very poor due to low wages). But the CEO has a plane!

Cons

1) No work life balance. 2). Couldn’t pay my bills, but helped others (clients) pay their bills. 3). Limited skilled supervision 4). Supervisors are pressured by government contracts/grants. 5). Interventions are determined by grants, not according to clinical discretion nor what the client needs. 6). Concurrent documentation doesn’t allow for real rapport nor therapeuic relationships. 7). Nobody is paid their worth. But the CEO has a personal plane. (Non-profit?) 8). “Community based care” means not partnering with other organizations to share resources. 9) New, excited, and young professionals are scooped up early in their time at Centerstone due to enthusiasm and “promise.” This leads to burn out, compassion fatigue, and high turnover. It’s not because they like you. You’ll regret it.

Exceptional hiring and on-boarding practices; Provided equipment and an amazing training; Competitive pay and optional overtime; Regular professional development; Overall, I had such a positive experience.

Cons

Many of us were laid off after (government) funding was eliminated. The lay off process was not handled well.
