A kafkaesque corporate nightmare - Anonymous Checkout.com Employee Review

Pros

Salary is in line with competitors, but it's a trap. You'll be expected to overwork yourself and get nothing in return, otherwise you'll be fired.

Cons

Weak and incompetent senior management. Mostly made up of sycophants trying to appease the CEO or the President. "Doers" are forced to work on meaningless tasks in a continuous political game between VPs and departments. Forget about doing what's best for your team, client and the company: you'll be working on nonsense projects to reach meaningless goals with made-up deadlines. If you value your experience and skills and take pride in what you do, this is clearly not the place for you. If you're a smooth talker with no backbone and no talent, you're probably already being interviewed to lead a team to the next random re-org and round of silent layoffs.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand the workload here can be demanding, which is typical for a fast-paced environment like ours. However, this also means there are plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and take on new challenges. The pace can be intense at times, but we believe it keeps things interesting and pushes you to perform at your best. The leadership team is making efforts to foster a more inclusive and transparent culture.

Pros

Good salary, thats about it

Cons

Toxic work culture, they want you to work from 6 am to 9pm. If you do not speak french or are not french you will feel like an outsider. Favoritism is big here, manager have their favorites and will feed them inbounds. Very hard to get approval to go to conferences, and there is no ROI, longer reps hold on to bigger name merchants for years even though they are not having any impact, and no one does anything about it.
