I have worked with Chevron for 6+ years and have found it to be one of the greatest companies to work for:
- Great benefits
- Great compensation
- Highly stimulating working environment
- Career development opportunities, including cross-functional development opportunities
- 9/80, work/life balance
Cons
None -- except maybe the exposure to volatile market conditions.
Chevron overall is a good place to work. The pay is really good and the work/life balance is pretty good.
Cons
Almost constant reorganizations. I never truly felt confident that I was going to have a job year after year because you were almost always applying to the job you already held.
There is almost a constant shuffling of jobs. They really promote the thought that everyone should aspire to be the CEO of the Company when all a lot of folks wanted was just to be left alone to do the job they liked and were good at.
You would be looked at as the SME, the day you were put into the position, regardless of your experience and/or backgrouns.
