Was threatened with termination for discussing wages. Bonus system in place that does nothing but encourage workers to work an unsafe number of hours and an incentive program that encourages unsafe practices and cutting corners to get as much product out the door as fast as possible. The health insurance is a joke for a place as dirty and dangerous as a mill. Their idea of a work life balance is forcing employees to work 16 hour days and coming back in on 4 hours of sleep to do it all again. You only get one weekend off a month. Your days off are in the middle of the week so your regularly forced to work 7 or more days straight with no day off. Management thinks you can just flip a switch and increase production and their solution for lack of man power is to just force people to work as many 16 hour shifts as needed.
