Pros
None. If there was a pro, I never saw it. You don't even want to put this job on your resume for fear of someone recognizing this as the company that ripped them or a loved one off.
Cons
Let me count the ways: 100% commission. You're an independent contractor so no benefits. They want you to drop flyers off at business complexes, then make calls. You have you lie to companies that you're a 'local employer' when they tell you 'no soliciting.' They ask you for the names of friends and family, because, who doesn't want to spam their loved ones? They want you to supply your own office supplies, including envelopes for their flyers. All these little things add up, like having an issue with parking so they want you to park at another establishment nearby. They were genuinely upset that someone studied 'too hard' to get a perfect score on the licensing test, as opposed to just studying enough to pass (70%). They promise training, but what kind of trainer schedules a separate meeting during time he should be training? Training is more like brow beating people who don't make enough calls or appointments. They say they're not like another company, but really, pot calling the kettle black. Do your due diligence and Google them. How many negative complaints are there? Do you want to be one of the agents who tricks people into a plan that will ultimately fail them when they need it most? Do you want to be around people who do not have the conscience to tell the truth about their business practices? Any positive review is written by those trying to recruit. No job should ever cost you money to get started.
