Pros
When I think about other places I could go to work, I have no idea how you could top this experience. Great people, compassion is our name and practice everyday. It's hard working in any branch of healthcare and hospice requires a very special person to be there at the bedside. It's hard work and if you aren't "all in" with your job, this isn't the right place for you to work. Besides, who would ever want a hospice nurse or aide to help their family who isn't "all in"??
Cons
We have a lot of changes, but that's how healthcare and life in general goes. If you keep the right mindset, you stay positive and look at the good in your situation. If you aren't changing, you're becoming irrelevant. Change is growth and growth is betterment! No one ever grew after being settled in, comfortable and going through the motions.
