Pros

Cook Medical Inc is not a high pressure sales environment. The company is geared towards doing what is right for the patient. A rep is empowered to do what they feel is appropriate in handling an account. There is lots of free time and you never have to worry about not being able to take time off for personal reasons. Before a rep needs to worry about their job, they would need to have about 2 years of bad sales so it's fair to say this is a stable job. There are not a lot of qualified candidates fighting for your job.

Cons

Cook does not pay it's representatives enough money to support a family of four in a middle class lifestyle. The company is owned by Bill Cook and claims to be the largest privately held medical device company in the world. They often show how much the company is growing in revenue but when raises are given, everyone is dissappointed. The only people at Cook who make any money are in senior leadership. The company constantly drops hints about the possibility of going public or upcoming wage increases, but it hasn't happened as long as anyone can remember. But, money isn't everything.

Pros

Great place to work. Good benefits.

Cons

The management of some of the department’s obviously don’t not know how to manage there department due to lack of interest or lack of knowledge. It’s like they knew someone to get there position instead of being qualified.
