You will have to become an expert on the platform very quickly. Highly academic - you will have to keep up with extremely quick changes in the industry. You have to be willing to grow and help the company grow. Competition includes companies and products like Microsoft Fabric, GCP Big Query, AWS SageMaker, etc.
