Pros

Free beauty products and a great employee discount. Good work-life balance. 401K matching.

Cons

The culture has changed a lot since the current president has joined, which has destroyed morale and caused a number of employees to leave. Excluding customer service, the business was run by about 60 people and at least 12 employees have left in the last 3 months. The latest departure is the VP of Marketing, who only stayed for a few months before returning to her previous company. The company structure has become very top-heavy, with 5 VPs and a dozen more Directors. Most of the decision-making has moved from the people doing the work to the President's inner circle. Thus, directions are passed downward without much communication, leaving most of the company out of the loop. Additionally, because the President mainly listens to just her VPs, she receives a limited view on what's actually happening at the company.

Pros

There are some really great people over at Dermstore to work with. It's a true 9-5 environment where they actually value work-life balance.

Cons

The organization is currently experiencing high turnover rates, which appear to be driven by a misalignment in how talent is valued. Specifically, there is a perception that several individuals in VP-level roles lack the necessary expertise to lead effectively, leading to the prioritization of the wrong personnel. While the starting salary is competitive, after joining, do not expect any raise.
