      Pros

      Good pay, lots of downtime, benefits, good pension.

      Cons

      Piss-poor management style of running everything to failure then repairing. Lack of preventative maintenance. Most operators have no clue what they are doing.

      Pros

      You support a local site. Good rapport with other departments and hourly makes the job great.

      Cons

      Company merger. Domtar was the gold standard between the 3 companies. Now, Resolute seems to make all the decisions despite being the farthest behind in IT.
