Pros
-You get to set your own hours, and cancel minutes way before you're supposed to work and you can set your schedule 5 days in advance. -You get 100% of the tip from each delivery, including pay boosts during certain hours (that's when DoorDash pays you well)! - You literally get to be your own boss; you get to know what restaurants are around the area, so you can introduce the new restaurants you've done deliveries with to family and friends. Hence, maybe even a collaboration or partnership with the restaurant! -Perfect summer job or side gig to be honest
Cons
-Lots of driving, probably around 80-90 miles a day at most (that's during lunch or dinner peak rush hours) -DoorDash does NOT compensate for your money, neither do they reimburse your gas money unfortunately. However, I know that DoorDash does manage thousands or even millions of Dashers across the nation, so it is literally impossible to achieve that goal in its entirety sometimes. -If you don't accept a delivery, your ratings significantly go down after that. I haven't rejected any deliveries just yet, but I have the fear of that happening which is why I've done deliveries as far from a pick up Fremont to deliver in Milpitas, and a pick up from Hayward to deliver in Oakland. -The more your ratings go up, the farther they ask you to go up and pick up deliveries in that area; this is unfair for most people because it's putting further financial burden on people who do work as a Dasher and even us would get frustrated.
