Pros
Really awesome people in non-executive levels. Nice location with nice view. Decent compensation to start with, no growth though. Non-zero benefits Perks like snacks, drinks, gameroom, breakfast wednesday. Decent opportunity to learn a few new technologies if you know what to look for
Cons
Bureaucratic Hell No promotions, no growth Mid-level managers hands tied, need more freedom to do what they know they need to IGT doesn't know how to compensate people to get them to work on a product that nobody cares about, except that gambling addict head of game design Useless workers kept around, bringing everyone down, wasting money, lowering morale Uninteresting product overall No respect for tech debt. Pump terrible games out, let the customers eat it, squeeze them for money, repeat Until recently, HR was a black hole, no chance to get anywhere. You could probably get assaulted there and have the head of HR roll their eyes at you before returning to their soy late mochaccino. No alcohol In general a complete lack of understanding of why people wanted to be there in the first place and what it means to developers Is and IIs losing bonuses and benefits left and right The complete stagnation of your careers. This place is not for young people interested in trying things, this is a nice cushy place for older developers to come to die.
