Pros

Wonderful work/life balance + perks

Cons

The company’s work/life balance and perks are genuinely strong, but they often serve to offset below-market pay—especially for client success roles. The real challenge, though, is the misalignment between sales and client success. Sales teams are encouraged and celebrated for closing deals with clients, even when they know those clients lack the internal resources or bandwidth to provide the assets needed to make the partnership successful. That leaves client success trying to execute on programs that were never realistically set up to succeed. To make matters worse, if a client renews, sales gets the commission—but if it doesn’t, the responsibility falls on client success. It’s a double-edged sword that makes no sense and creates a constant uphill battle for the people actually managing the relationships.
