Pros

As the first-ever Change Management Lead within the FAA Chief Data Office, it was a privilege to develop and grow the culture based on the mission. By focusing on people-first, we saw engagement grow 18x and sustained collaborations triple - meeting the overall goal of moving from a silo approach to a cross-organizational, collaborative professional lifestyle.

Cons

The current climate is very difficult, as the current leadership has had their authority stripped based on multiple Executive Orders from the President - additionally, all DEI programs (including any that support women) have been stripped of support. The message is clear: innovation and growth is not a current priority from the President, and diversity (i.e., being a woman) is highly discouraged. My ratings reflect the current situation (this is written in June 2025) and is my personal opinion only. It does not reflect the many, many wonderful years I spent under different federal management where growth and diversity were a high priority.
