Pros

To be fair, most co-workers are decent people and nice to work with. Pay isn't bad.

Cons

A manager promised a subordinate promotion for their great performance, but for 6 months never made any progress. I think that's understandable, given how the company/economy is doing. However. the manager then used the promotion as a leverage to make the employee work during the paternity leave. Later when the layoff came, the employee was just let go, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PARTINITY LEAVE. How convenient. I've seen bad companies, but this kind of manipulation is extreme. If you join this company, think for yourself from day 1. Protect your interests at all cost & don't let them fool you.

Pros

Work life balance (very few talented employees to check on your work, and hose who can are slacking their way into the sunset)

Cons

Profoundly incompetent (at best) leadership that kept failing at literally everything except burning truckloads of capital into very little product. Until a couple years ago, there was some interesting AI being developed, although layers of incompetence killed the whole effort, and all those employees left or got axed. Luckily (for now), two things kept the business under artificial respiration: deep pocketed investors who presumably cannot afford a public failure, and the deeply legacy nature of most other airline tech vendors.
