Pros

Easy job, free training on both 40ft class B buses and smaller class C vans, only work 4-5 hours a day, set work schedule, plenty of time off including all holidays and summer. Can claim unemployment when off. Optional work during summer. Optional charter trips and plenty of field trips.

Cons

No benefits, no retirement. Healthcare option is ridiculously expensive. only getting $15.69/hr as a driver and it took 4 years to get there. No promotion path. If you don't like driving and don't like kids, don't work here. Jobs are seniority based. Established drivers get the best runs and the most trips. New drivers will make more in summer than in the school year when most people want to stay off work.

Pros

The pay for driving is good, however, "driving is only part of the job description. May be well compensated for contracted substitute driver in other locations

Cons

Although there are rules to establish safe, orderly environments for riders and drivers, they are not enforced, and appear symbolic and subjective. Drivers have to bow to whomever decides how it will be handled instead of what the actual rules dictate, creating unnecessary chaos. There also appears to be a good amount of favoritism at this location and company rules and regulations are rarely enforced across the board, resulting in employees doing as they please with little to no repercussions.
