Pros
The people doing the actual work are smart, collaborative, and genuinely care about delivering quality work for clients. Unfortunately, that is where most of the positives end.
Cons
The biggest issue is senior leadership. There is a noticeable disconnect between executive leadership and the day-to-day realities employees face. Decisions often feel reactive rather than strategic, communication lacks transparency, and priorities shift without clear direction. Many problems seem to stem from leadership being insulated from the challenges experienced by employees and clients.
The leadership structure also feels unnecessarily bloated. Over the years, there have been repeated organizational restructures and new senior-level roles that seem to add layers of management without improving how the company operates. Instead of making decisions faster or providing better support, these changes often create confusion about responsibilities, increase bureaucracy, and leave employees wondering what purpose many of these positions actually serve.
One thing that stood out to me is how little outside perspective exists at the top. Much of senior management has spent the majority, or all, of their careers at Forum One, and it shows. Rather than bringing fresh ideas or adapting to changes in the industry, leadership often relies on the same thinking that worked years ago. The result is an organization that feels increasingly out of touch with both the market and its own employees.
The current CEO has done little to inspire confidence. Communication is inconsistent, concerns raised by employees do not appear to lead to meaningful action, and there is a lack of a compelling long-term vision. During periods of uncertainty, employees need decisive leadership. Instead, there is confusion, declining morale, and talented people continue to leave.
It is disappointing because there are genuinely great people throughout the company. They deserve leadership that values efficiency over hierarchy, welcomes outside perspectives, and is willing to challenge the status quo instead of adding more layers of management.
