      - Provision of top of the line machinery that you wouldn't have access to in academia - Some friendly people and teams - Good salary and bonuses - Some flexibility in working hours

      Cons

      - Tight timelines for results that do not foster scientific exploration - Heavy focus on company targets rather than scientific potential - Outspoken and abrasive members of the company that do not encourage young researchers but instead destroy their confidence - Lots of independent research rather than worthwhile collaborations - Do not feel valued as an individual in the company
