Pros

Travel opportunities to industry events. Great office location. The staff are helpful, knowledgeable and great at what they do.

Way before Covid-19 struck the company was already in a mess. The fact that the company was so reliant on the one event which had to be cancelled due to Covid is a huge mistake as it is - you'd think the leadership team would have the skills to forecast this type of risk and put contingency plans in place to safeguard their business and employees, especially when you take into account their salary packages. Very disappointed to see how leaders have acted in the past 3 years which is when the gap between them and "the others" started to be more noticeable - their business strategy and promotions of those who lack the skills but who are friendly with the leadership team have destroyed GSMA. Inept managers who don't know what they're doing is a common theme across the company. Invisible and unapproachable, the leadership team have failed at turning the company around and making it the great place to work it once was. The days when everyone worked towards the same objectives and were fairly treated (females are still being paid less than their male counterparts) are long gone. Furthermore, it is upsetting to see how people who have been permanently employed for years building the company up are now being let go...while leaders keep their salaries intact. The company and MD values are a load of rubbish as they don't mean the same for those in charge - hypocritical and shameful, they have driven the company into the ground.
