Pros

Steady income. Health benefits. Paid vacations. Retirement plan. Job security. Some truly fun, hardworking and unique co-workers. Potential to learn new skills. Get your foot in the door for some + a union dedicated to protecting employees interests, improving wages, hours and working conditions for all, even if you elect not to join.

Cons

Mandatory 10-12 hour days M-F + Saturday. Say goodbye to family time, college or any other interests. All the typical workplace stress and fatigue of an overwhelmingly heavy workload, the increased safety risks, increased health problems, absenteeism, decreased productivity and a high turnover rate like a revolving door. Verbally abusive supervisor who throws temper tantrums. Outdated equipment. General feeling that your not living up to your potential as most careers in the shop and those up front in the office are dead end jobs. Pay is lousy. Lay-offs, cuts on raises, bonuses, and diminishing benefits. Keep your options open...

Pros

No background checks. Good for people needing a job quickly.

Cons

Where to start? Poor leadership on all levels. A bunch of talk about quality and the customer but are happy pushing out inferior product and dealing with it later, but then blame all the workers (via no quarterly bonus due to impossible metrics they have little/ no control over) instead of correcting the workers responsible. They are SO CHEAP. Cheap in pay, cheap in providing what employees need in a timely manner or if ever, cheap in benefits, cheap all the way around. They want drones, not humans. Very high turnover rate. A lot of promises and little follow up. If you sign up for the annual company picnic and cant make it, they take money directly out of your check for each person signed up to go. Poor training. Reactive, not proactive.
