Pros

Some good people somehow still remain. The Waukesha and Pewaukee offices are decent sites.

Cons

It's taken me over a year to mentally heal from my time at Generac. The leadership and culture is toxic, and with every engagement survey, gets worse. I was prohibited from interviewing for a promotion because of internal politics between business groups, so I quit in order to be fairly compensated. The pay is terrible, bonuses are near impossible to get, and the benefits are below average. The CEO will never change a thing because he still runs the ship like the founder did, so 1970's-1980's boomer work culture!

Pros

No background checks. Good for people needing a job quickly.

Cons

Where to start? Poor leadership on all levels. A bunch of talk about quality and the customer but are happy pushing out inferior product and dealing with it later, but then blame all the workers (via no quarterly bonus due to impossible metrics they have little/ no control over) instead of correcting the workers responsible. They are SO CHEAP. Cheap in pay, cheap in providing what employees need in a timely manner or if ever, cheap in benefits, cheap all the way around. They want drones, not humans. Very high turnover rate. A lot of promises and little follow up. If you sign up for the annual company picnic and cant make it, they take money directly out of your check for each person signed up to go. Poor training. Reactive, not proactive.
