Pros

Decent salary and benefits, matching 401K, pension, every other Fridays off. Your experience at GA-ASI greatly depends on your mgr and team. Work-life balance also depends on your department. Opportunities to transfer to other teams or functions.

Cons

Company has been overstaffed for years, resulting in August layoffs of 600+ employees. There may be more in the coming years. Too many policies and processes are from knee-jerk reactions. Company very much an old school boys club. Sr Mgmt is not given much authority, all approvals need to go to President or CEO, or sometimes the Chairman; thus, creating unnecessary delays.

Pros

Good working environment Exciting projects Great coworkers (for the most part, like any place)

Cons

Like any maturing company, it has become more and more top-heavy, placing more and more emphasis on project management and milestones, sometimes over bread-and-butter engineering. I could have half the PMs I have now and do a better job
