Pros

HQ is in San Diego, 9/80, pension, hybrid work

Cons

The company has settled into carbon copying old designs. It's a design that works, and people are quite proficient in their iteration of the design, but technological advancement isn't a consideration. You won't be technically challenged here. Diversity is quite low, there are no in office perks (not even coffee), and there is so much dead weight in the company. 5% of the company does 95% of the work. People are rarely enthusiastic about their job, and the energy of the company is dull. I think that management can still pivot and pursue something new and exciting, but it's unlikely. Seems like all the eggs are into the carbon copy effort. The crack in the foundation was MQ-25. Hopefully they can revive it, but I think the sun is setting for GA-ASI.

Pros

Good working environment Exciting projects Great coworkers (for the most part, like any place)

Cons

Like any maturing company, it has become more and more top-heavy, placing more and more emphasis on project management and milestones, sometimes over bread-and-butter engineering. I could have half the PMs I have now and do a better job
